Scout of the Year - Connor Emmons

CONNOR EMMONS, WEBELOS PACK 80

Connor Emmons, from Cub Scout Pack 80 in the James E. West District at St. Henry’s Catholic School, was attending a swim lesson when he saw a young girl struggling to stay above water elsewhere in the pool. Connor tried to get the instructor’s attention but when unable to do so he went to where she was and held her above water until the instructors could reach them. Connor used skills learned in Scouting to stay calm and focused. For his bravery in the face of imminent danger to another, Connor rose above and beyond to be a Scout of the Year.
