Scouting safely is our top priority, and the Middle Tennessee Council and Scouting America are committed to providing a safe and secure environment for all. To further our commitment to safety, Scouting America has Safeguarding Youth Training which detailed steps on procedures each parent & volunteer should follow in order to provide a safe experience in Scouting.

This training is mandatory for all registered adult volunteers and has been developed with insights from leading experts in child safety, law enforcement, and child psychology. This updated training reinforces a culture of active supervision, situational awareness, and safety, ensuring we are all equipped to help keep our Scouts safe.

Duration: ~90 minutes

Available in English and Spanish

After completing the full course once, a 15-minute refresher and questionnaire are required each year to stay current. We've included additional details below including how to complete the training and Guide to Safe Scouting resources.
