Option 1
What’s Expected of Me as a Parent?
Cub Scouting is a family-centered program that thrives because of the involvement of caring adults—like you! As a parent, your support helps create a fun, safe, and meaningful experience for your child and others in the group.
While not every parent needs to take on a leadership role, many choose to get involved in ways that match their interests and availability. Whether it’s helping at events, organizing activities, or serving as a den volunteer or committee member, there’s a place for everyone.

To ensure a safe environment for all youth, volunteers are asked to:
-
Complete S.A.F.E. Guarding Youth Training
-
Pass a background check
-
Take online training for their role at my.scouting.org
Volunteering is a great way to bond with your child, meet other families, and make a lasting impact in your community.
